Luis Guzmán Cast In Tim Burton’s ‘Wednesday’

Luis Guzmán has been cast as the iconic Addams family patriarch in Tim Burton’s new series ‘Wednesday‘.

According to Collider, Guzmán will play the on-screen father to Jenna Ortega, who will portray the titular character, Wednesday.

The new show is created by Al Gough and Miles Millar – the showrunners behind Smallville.

‘Wednesday’ will allegedly be a comedic coming-of-age series following the Addams daughter’s first years at Nevermore Academy. There she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree and solve a mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago – all while navigating new relationships at school.

The 8-episode Netflix series will begin filming later this year and aims for a 2022 release date.
