Lupita Nyong’o Tests Postive For COVID-19

Lupita Nyong’o reveals she has tested positive for COVID-19.
The 38-year-old Black Panther actress announced the news over Twitter on Tuesday (January 4).
“I too have tested positive for COVID-19,” she posted. “I’m fully vaccinated and taking care in isolation.”

Nyong’o was scheduled to join co-stars Jessica Chastain, Diane Kruger, Penelope Cruz, Fan Bingbing, and Sebastian Stan in virtual interviews to promote their upcoming film, The 355.
The new spy picture, helmed by Simon Kinberg, is scheduled to release on Friday (January 7) and depicts a group of international spies who must come together to prevent the start of World War III.
Nyong’o shot to prominence after starring in Steve McQueen’s period feature, 12 Years a Slave – for which she received an Academy Award for best supporting actress.
She has since gone on to claim roles in major pictures such as the Star Wars trilogy, The Jungle Book, Black Panther and Us.
