Marilyn Manson Files To Dismiss Esme Bianco Rape Case

Marilyn Manson has filed to dismiss Esme Bianco’s allegations of sexual assault, labeling them “untrue” and “meritless”.

Bianco came forward with several other of Manson’s former partners, accusing the rock singer of physical, sexual and psychological abuse. Bianco compared Manson’s behaviour to human trafficking under California law.

Now according to Billboard, the 52-year-old rock singer is seeking to dismiss the lawsuit, calling the allegations “meritless”. The filing states that Manson’s accusers “spent months plotting, work shopping and fine-tuning” their allegations.

Manson is facing lawsuits from several women, including his ex-partner Evan Rachel Wood and former assistant, Ashley Walters. In a filing obtained by The Cut, Walters claimed she was “forced to witness” the abuse he inflicted on his partners. She also said Manson “routinely” told her he wanted to kill the women he was involved with.

Manson was dropped by his manager and record label following the allegations. He was also recently arrested following an allegation that he spat on someone at a concert in 2019.

The most recent filing adds that Bianco and her “co-conspirators”, were “desperately trying to conflate the imagery and artistry of Warner’s ‘shock rock’ stage persona, ‘Marilyn Manson‘, with fabricated accounts of abuse”.

The BBC reports that Manson’s lawyers have also pushed to dismiss the case on grounds that too much time has passed since the incident occurred in 2011.
