Mark Wahlberg’s Extreme ‘7,000 Calorie A Day’ Diet To Gain 30lbs

Mark Wahlberg is currently embarking on a 6-week journey to purposely gain 30lbs for his role in the new upcoming movie, Father Stu.
The 49-year-old actor shared a before and after picture to his 16.4m Instagram followers captioned “From left photo 3 weeks ago to this, now.”
Wahlberg has already gained a total of 20lbs by attempting to hit an immense 7,000 calories a day – over double the recommended daily amount for adults.
He is currently working closely with doctors, nutritionists, and personal chef, Lawrence Duran.
In April, Mark told Jimmy Kimmel that he wanted to gain the weight by eating “a 20-piece chicken nugget, hot wings from Kentucky Fried Chicken with a six-pack of beer.”
Duran reassures that the weight is being gained as healthily as possible – not just through sweet treats and junk foods.
His new diet consists of “good carbohydrates, dark green vegetables, and then, just switch up the protein throughout the day and, at least, a dozen eggs a day.”
The actor is allowed to break away from the intense regime and have a “cheat day” once a week to indulge in pizza, pasta and cookies.
This approach to weight gain is not advised by medical professionals but the actor is being closely monitored to ensure his health is not at risk.
As Mark is no stranger to such regimiented fitness programs, Duran has no doubt that the actor will be able to drop the extra weight in no time.
