The latest addition in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Eternals‘ most recent teaser has shown off some brand-new footage as well as glimpses at Marvel’s first on-screen LGBT+ family.

The trailer is thirty seconds long, and shows the film will be action packed.

The clip showed Brian Tyree Henry’s character Phastos, the first openly gay superhero in the MCU, his husband (Haaz Sleiman) and their child meeting Richard Madden and Gemma Chan’s characters.

The heroes encounter the family outside what appears to be a typical suburban home, in the Autumn time.

Sleiman recently told Out magazine that he felt “lucky” and “grateful” to be cast as the husband of Henry’s character because he felt that he could “humanise the hell out of it”.

“I don’t want to sound arrogant, but I feel like Marvel, they were very smart to cast me in it because I got to humanise the hell out of it,” Sleiman said. “I got to humanise an LGBTQ+ family and show how beautiful they are.”

Eternals will hit cinemas the 5th November.
