Actress Sally Kellerman, famous for playing Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan in M*A*S*H, has died at the age of 84.
The Oscar-nominated actress died early Thursday morning at an assisted car facility in Los Angeles, following a battle with dementia.
According to TMZ, Kellerman was diagnosed with dementia around 2017 and had been struggling with the disorder over the last few years.
The outlet also reports her son, Jack Krane, says he last saw Kellerman on Wednesday night, when it became clear to him it would be her last time seeing him, and he made his final goodbyes.
Kellerman was best known for the husky voice she used to play U.S. Army major Margaret Houlihan on M*A*S*H. She was also famous for her singing, releasing her album Sally in 2009.
