Michael Caine Clarifies Retirement Statement

Michael Caine has confirmed that he is not retiring from acting, despite seemingly stating last week he had plans to do so.
The 88-year-old actor revealed in an interview last week that his role in upcoming film Best Sellers would be his “last part”, which led to speculation that he was retiring.
“Funnily enough, it has turned out to be my last part, really…I haven’t worked for two years, and I have a spine problem which affects my legs so I can’t walk very well,” Caine told the BBC’s Simon Mayo.
However, Caine’s representatives have since clarified to The Wrap that the actor hasn’t retired and instead meant that his days as leading actor are behind him, but not future roles.
Caine also later confirmed he hadn’t retired with a tweet posted on Twitter.
I haven’t retired and not a lot of people know that
