NCAA Now Allowing College Athletes To Make Deals

College athletes are now allowed to make money from their “names, images and likenesses” without losing their eligibility.

Previously college athletes weren’t allowed to make money under NCAA policy rules. The new rules will allow athletes to “accept money from businesses in exchange for allowing the business to feature them in advertising or products”, ESPN reports.

This change comes after years of pressure from “legal, political and public pressure” under the news rules schools are still not allowed to pay students directly. More information on the new interim policy below.
