Netflix To Produce Live-Action Pokemon Series

Netflix is reportedly in early development of a live-action Pokemon series.

According to a report by Variety, Joe Henderson will write for the new project. Henderson is currently working on the final season of Netflix’s ‘Lucifer‘, due to premiere on September 10. No further details for the new series are currently available.

Multiple shows and films attached to the franchise are already available on the platform including, Pokemon: Indigo League, Pokemon: The Power of Us and Pokemon: Sun and Moon.

A live-action Pokemon film has already been produced by WarnerBros. Pokemon Detective Pikachu sees Ryan Reynolds voice the iconic titular character opposite Justice Smith, Kathryn Newton and Bill Nighy.
