Michael Irvin has criticised Dallas Cowboys footballer Amari Cooper for refusing to get the coronavirus vaccine.

In an exclusive interview with TMZ, Irvin said he’s furious with Cooper over his vaccination status, after the star tested positive for COVID-19 last week.

Cooper was automatically ruled out of the Cowboys games against the Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders after he tested positive for the virus.

“I’m absolutely hot about it. Are you joking? I’m so [mad] hot at Amari Cooper for not being on that field. I got a guy who makes $21 million on the bench at home not playing. It’s crazy,” he said.

Although, Irvin said he knows even if Cooper had the vaccine he still might have been ruled out of the Cowboys games, he said that he’s still mad at footballer for not even attempting to reduce the chance of it happening by having the vaccine.

“You have to try to mitigate any issue that could cost you a game or a Super Bowl, and COVID is one of them. You go get vaccinated to try to mitigate it, best you can,” he said.
