Norman Reedus has reportedly suffered a concussion on the set of The Walking Dead whilst filming the show’s final episodes.

Deadline reports that the accident occurred on March 11 on the AMC set in Georgia. Details on the incident are sparse, however, the production’s wrap date has allegedly been postponed while Reedus recovers.

Norman suffered a concussion on set,” confirmed the actor spokesperson, Jeffrey Chassen. “He is recovering well and will return to work soon. Thank you to everyone for their concern.”

News of the injury was first revealed by Fandemic Tour – a fan convention where Reedus was scheduled to appear this weekend alongside his co-stars Melissa McBride, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Okea Eme-Akwari, Chad Coleman, Cailey Fleming and Chandler Riggs.

Reedus has featured in the hit zombie series since the airing of its first season in 2010. Though the 11th and final season is due to conclude later this year, Reedus is set to reprise his role as Daryl Dixon in a new spinoff series. The show, led by showrunner Angela Kang, will focus on Daryl and McBride’s character, Carol Peletier.

Another spinoff, entitled Isle of the Dead, has also been confirmed and will focus on the characters of Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) as they journey through New York.
