Peter Aykroyd Dies Aged 66

Peter Aykroyd has sadly died at the age of 66.
The passing of former Saturday Night Live actor and writer was announced on Saturday’s SNL hosted by Simu Liu.
A clip of a short film starring Aykroyd named Java Junkie was aired on the show.
Peter starred as a character addicted to coffee.

The clip ends with a title card paying tribute to the star.
Born November 19 1955, Aykroyd began his entertainment career with roles in The New Avengers before joining SNL in 1979 as a writer and cast member.
He also earned an Emmy nomination.
Peter‘s cause of death has not been released.
