‘Tiger King’ Reptile Dealer Jeff Johnson Dies Aged 58

Jeff Johnson, the reptile dealer featured in Netflix’s Tiger King, has died at the age of 58.

Police reportedly told TMZ that Johnson tragically took his own life in front of his wife in September.

According to an incident report, the couple had been arguing over their garage before Johnson shot himself in the head with a handgun. Though emergency services rushed to the scene, Jeff was declared dead en route to the hospital.

Johnson made a brief appearance in Tiger King’s first season to discuss some of Carole Baskin’s lawsuits against Joe Exotic and his zoo.
