Prosecutors Seek YNW Melly’s DNA In Murder Case

Prosecutors are allegedly seeking the DNA of YNW Melly, hoping to match the sample in a double murder case.

Melly, whose real name is Jamell Demons, is facing two counts of first-degree murder with his friend, Cortlen Henry. The pair is accused of shooting two other friends, Christopher Thomas Jr., and Anthony Williams, and staging the scene to look like a drive-by.

In legal documents obtained by TMZ, prosecutors have petitioned a Broward County judge to force Melly to submit his DNA.

The DNA samples they are hoping to match in the investigation are located on a yellow jacket.

DNA from one of the victims – Anthony Williams – has already been identified on the clothing but three outstanding sources remain.
