Red Hot Chili Peppers “Almost Done” With New Album

Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith has revealed that the band are “almost done” recording their next album.
In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Smith said that the band was “getting along great” after the return of guitarist John Frusciante.
“John’s been back for a while now, so it feels completely natural. He’s so into it. He’s working so hard,” he said.
Frusciante, who was an integral part of the Peppers early albums, re-joined the band in 2019, after a ten-year absence.
According to Smith, fans may notice a different sound to their new album compared to their early work.
“Look, John hasn’t been in our group in ten years. That’s a long time. So of course it’s going to sound different,” he said.
Although, Smith didn’t reveal an exact release date for the band’s upcoming album, he did reveal it would release before their global tour in mid-2022.
