Request To Speed Up Britney Spears Conservatorship Case Rejected

A judge has ruled against a motion to speed up a hearing which will decide if Britney Spears‘ father will remain her conservator.
Spears‘ lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, had filed the motion to expedite the hearing by almost a month.
Deadline reports that the request was “denied… without prejudice”.
In response to the news, Spears took to Instagram to post a picture of a #FreeBritney flag, alongside a caption which told fans they “only know half of it”.

The 39-year-old pop singer later posted again to say that she would be taking a break from social media.
“In a system where I’ve felt completely hopeless for so long, at least I do have a platform to share !!!! As Selena Gomez says it best – The world can be a nasty place … I know it … you know it … kill them with kindness.” Said Spears.

“Unfortunately the news has been pretty nasty saying horrible and mean lies about me so I’m gonna post a little less from now on.”
Spears is pushing to remove her father as her conservator after accusing him of abusing his position over her for years. She wishes her personal conservator, Jodi Montgomery, to replace her father as conservator of her fiances.
The court hearing is scheduled to take place on September 29.
