Chi Chi DeVayne Dead At 34 After Short Battle Pneumonia

RuPaul’s Drag Race star Chi Chi DeVayne, real name Zavion Davenport, has died at 34.
She appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race‘s eighth season along with appearing on the All Stars spinoff.
Chi Chi was rushed into the hospital last week and posted a final Instagram Story that said, “Keep me in your prayers. I’ll be back soon,” before losing her battle with pneumonia.
DeVayne was diagnosed with scleroderma in 2018, which is a condition that attacks internal organs; and earlier last month she was hospitalised with suspected “kidney failure” before the reality star was released to return home.
RuPaul, the franchise creator, said in a statement on social media, “I am so grateful that we got to experience her kind and beautiful soul. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten. May her generous and loving spirit shine down on us all. On behalf of VH1, World of Wonder and the cast and crew of RuPaul’s Drag Race, I extend my deepest sympathy – from our family to hers.”
