Ryan Reynolds Credits Strong Marriage To Friendship

Ryan Reynolds has credited his strong marriage with Blake Lively to their friendship.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the Deadpool star opened up about married life.

“We don’t take each other too seriously, but we’re also friends,” says Reynolds. “Falling in love is great, but do you like each other? That’s kinda the question you gotta ask yourself, you know, going into it.”

“We’ve always liked each other. We grow together. We learn from each other. So yeah, I’m lucky to have a buddy in that.”

The 45-year-old also addressed his recent decision to take a sabbatical from acting: “For me, it’s really about getting some quality time with my kids before they’re teenagers who loathe me.”

Reynolds and Lively have been married since 2012. The couple share three daughters, James, Inez and Betty.
