Sandra Bullock Reveals One Film She Regrets Signing Up For

Sandra Bullock reflects on her career and the one film she wishes she “hadn’t done”.
Speaking with TooFab alongside her The Lost City co-star Daniel Radcliffe, the pair opened up about past projects they may have been “embarrassed” by.
While Radcliffe confessed that playing Harry Potter “didn’t feel like the coolest thing in the world at the time” as he was “dressed as a schoolboy”, he said that he now felt differently in hindsight.
“It’s been, honestly, later that I’ve looked back and gone, ‘That was incredible cool’, and I do feel that now, for sure,” he said.
Chipping in, Bullock said there was one project she still regrets doing and that fans never warmed up to.
“I have on no one came around to and I’m still embarrassed I was in,” she said. “It’s called Speed 2. I’ve been very vocal about it. Makes no sense. Slow boat. Slowly going towards an island.”
“That’s one I wished I hadn’t done and no fans came around,” she said, despite Radcliffe’s assertion that he liked it. “Him and the other four 12-year-olds who were watching the slow boat going towards the tiny island.”
Released in 1997, the film starred Bullock and Jason Patric as a couple holidaying on a hijacked cruise liner which is set on a collision course with an oil tanker. Hugely ridiculed by critics, the picture was also a box office flop, securing just $164 million worldwide from a budget of approximately $160 million.
Keanu Reeves, who starred with Bullock in the 1994 original Speed, has previously said that he turned down the sequel as he was unimpressed by the story.
“I loved working with Jan de Bont and Sandra, of course. It was just a situation in life where I got the script and I read the script and I was like, ‘Ugh’,” he said on Jimmy Kimmel Live (via Den of Geek).
“I was like, ‘I love you guys but I just can’t do it.’”
