Scarlett Johansson “Romanticised” Marriage To Ryan Reynolds

Scarlett Johansson has opened up about her marriage to Ryan Reynolds. 

The 35-year-old spoke about her relationship with the Deadpool star during an interview with Vanity Fair.

Dating in 2007, before marrying each other in 2008, the former couple spent the next two years keeping their relationship together — until 2010 when they split. Since divorcing, Reynolds went on to marry Blake Lively and have two children; with Johansson recently becoming engaged to Colin Jost.

She said in the Vanity Fair interview, “I mean, the first time I got married I was 23 years old, I didn’t really have an understanding of marriage. Maybe I kind of romanticised it, I think, in a way.”

Before meeting Jost, she was married to French journalist Romain Dauriac, whom she had their daughter with, Rose Dorothy Dauriac, before splitting in 2017.

Her thoughts on marriage these days has shifted, with the Avengers star saying, “It’s a different part of my life now. I feel like I’m in a place in my life [where] I’m able to make more active choices. I’m more present, I think, than I’ve been before.”
