Madonna Cancels ‘Madame X’ Tour Gigs Following “Multiple Injuries”

Madonna has been forced to cancel three shows on her Madame X tour due to “overwhelming pain” following a knee injury.
The 61-year-old Material Girl singer was due to be on stage from November 30 to December 2 of this year in Boston and Massachusetts.
She explained the situation on social media, “Please forgive this unexpected turn of events. Doing my show every night brings me so much joy and to cancel is a kind of punishment for me, but the pain I’m in right now is overwhelming and I must rest and follow doctor’s orders so I can come back stronger and better and continue the Madame X journey with all of you.”
Live Nation has announced a rescheduling of the shows is off the table as “tight scheduling through the balance of the year” makes it difficult. All refunds will be made automatically to credit card holders, but the cancellations don’t spoil the remainder of the tour.
A show in New York was also cancelled, with a statement reading, “Unfortunately, Madonna’s Madame X concert this evening at BAM Howard Gilman Opera House is postponed.
Madonna is currently dealing with a knee injury and has been advised rest for the next three days to assist in her recovery. Fans are encouraged to hold onto their tickets pending information on rescheduling.”
Her tour should continue on December 7 in Philadelphia.
