Scarlett Johansson’s Lawyer Accuses Disney Of “Hiding Misconduct”

Scarlett Johansson’s lawyer has accused Disney of attempting to hide its misconduct after the media giant filed a motion to force a private arbitration.
Last month it was revealed that Johansson was suing Disney over a loss of income from the release of ‘Black Widow’.
The actor alleges that the decision by Disney to release the film in both cinemas and on Disney+ simultaneously breaches her contract and deprives her of an estimated $50 million in earnings.
At the time, Disney responded to the lawsuit stating that “there is no merit whatsoever to this filing” and that they had fully complied with her contract.
However, Disney has now filed a further motion to force Johansson into a private arbitration.
In response to the new motion filed by Disney, Johansson lawyer, John Berlinski said: “After initially responding to this litigation with a misogynistic attack against Scarlett Johansson. Disney is now, predictably trying to hide its misconduct in a confidential arbitration.”
‘Black Widow’ is one of the lowest-grossing Marvel Cinematic Universe films to date. Since it’s release, the film has brought in $319.5 million.
