‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ director Malcolm D Lee has revealed that another sequel may be in the works.

Despite Box office success during its release over the weekend ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ has received a significant number of negative reviews from critics.

Even with the negative reviews the film still managed to bring in over $31.65 million over its release weekend and claimed No. 1 box office spot from ‘Black Widow’.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, director Malcolm D Lee has now said that he would “never say never,” in regards to a sequel and that he already has a star in mind for the next film.

Dwayne Johnson would be an interesting choice. It would be different. I’m not sure what his skillset would be, maybe he goes back to wrestling. That might be interesting,” Lee said.

On Monday, July 19 basketball star LeBron James defended the film on Twitter with a tweet captioned “Hi Haters,” alongside an article from Deadline that showed how much the film hard earned over its opening weekend.
