Jeff Davis, creator of ‘Teen Wolf’ talked with E! Online about the show on the 10th year anniversary.

In the recent interview, Davis talked about potential spinoffs, potential castings and the shows move onto Netflix.

When the show first started the creator believed that the show would be ‘f- – ked’ as the show received low views in the first two seasons.

Jeff puts this down to the network putting the show against the hit show ‘Pretty Little Liars’. Davis questioned the choice saying, “I was like, ‘You guys, if live ratings are that important to you, why are you putting us up against the exact demo you want?”

It wasn’t until the show landed on Netflix, when the following grew and this was evidenced by the reaction to the third season. “Suddenly, our reach grew and we had actually good numbers for our season three premiere without the MTV Movie Awards as a lead-in,” Jeff said.

A few spinoff shows that the creator had in mind was for the character Kira played by Arden Cho,  including a show focusing on ‘Derek Hale’s upbringing’. Another spinoff show Jeff had in mind was called, “Echo House that centred on Eichen house” which would’ve starred Seth Gilliam.

‘Teen Wolf’ also could have looked slightly different with some different castings such as Evan Peters reading the role of Stiles. Other potential castings include, Cameron Dallas, Noah Centineo along with J.R. Bourne auditioning for the role of Deaton. Bourne was however cast as Allison’s dad, Chris Argent.
