Former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens has said he would be open to playing for Tampa Bay Buccaneers following Antonio Brown’s departure from the team.

Buccaneers’ head coach Bruce Arians announced yesterday, that Brown had been removed from the team, after leaving the pitch mid-way through the Bucs game against the New York Jets on Sunday.

Now, in an interview with Fubo Sports, wide receiver Owens, who hasn’t played for an NFL team since 2010, has said he thinks the Bucs should consider him as Brown’s replacement.

“Absolutely. I’ve been working out throughout the course of this entire season. So, yes, I feel like I can go in, I can contribute at a high level and be productive,” he said.

“If you think about where they are in the season, they don’t need me for a 16-game season, three to four games at the max,” he added.

According to TMZ, the Bucs are currently “eyeing” some free agents in wake of Brown’s departure, however it is currently unclear if they are considering Owens offer.
