Nick Cassavetes has filed a lawsuit against a venture capital company, according to The Blast.

He directed The Notebook and was supposed to direct an upcoming film titled, The Manuscript — with a deal being made that would guarantee him $2 million back in August 2018.

The film included Scott Eastwood and Morgan Freeman as noteworthy actors, but Nick believes investors weren’t able to secure the funding and regardless as to whether the film would be the next big thing, the deal allegedly made would still guarantee him the money.

Nick claims that he was paid less than $700,000 and wants the remaining $1.3 million.
