The USMNT currently sit in second in their qualifying group, with the top three teams guaranteeing their place at the World Cup in Qatar this December.

The fourth placed team will have to compete in an intercontinental playoff in June.

“We’re excited about the opportunity to achieve our goal of qualifying for the World Cup,” Berhalter said. “We have a group that’s ready to compete and deal with the challenges that come our way.”
