Western ‘Dead For A Dollar’ Casts Christoph Waltz And Willem Dafoe

Christoph Waltz and Willem Dafoe have joined Walter Hill’s western, ‘Dead For A Dollar‘.

Waltz, who previous featured in Quentin Tarantino’s Django, will assume the starring role of Max Borlund. Defoe costars as his sworn enemy, Joe Cribbens.

Written and directed by Hill, the story is set in New Mexico Territory, Chihuahua, 1897. The story follows Max (Waltz), who is hired to find and return Rachel Price, the progressive wife of Nathan Price, a successful Santa Fe businessman.

Deadline reports that Jeremy Wall, Kirk D’Amico and Caroyn Mc Masters will produce the feature.

This will be Hill’s first project since directing The Assignment in 2016.

Waltz will soon be returning to screens in the latest James Bond installment, No Time To Die, as well as Guillermo Del Toro’s, Pinocchio. Both Waltz and Dafoe appear in Wes Anderson’s new film, The French Dispatch.
