Netflix Cancels Jamie Foxx’s ‘Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!’

Netflix have announced that they have cancelled Jamie Foxx’s comedy series ‘Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!’ after one season.
The show debuted on Netflix early this year in April and revolved around Foxx’s relationship with his daughter Corinne.
Foxx starred as himself in the show whilst Kyla Drew Simmons played daughter, Corrine. David Alan Grier, Porscha Coleman and Jonathan Kite also featured in the show.
Variety Magazine, reported that Foxx may have been involved in the decision to end the series. Upon it’s release, many critics rated the show poorly with NME magazine giving it a one-star review.
“As a central character, Foxx is trying to be both the straight-man heart warmer and the goofy scene-stealer”, NME said.
Jim Patterson co-created the show alongside Foxx but stepped down shortly before production began.
The first season of ‘Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!’ is available to watch now on Netflix.
