Wham! Bassist Deon Estus Dies Aged 65

Wham! and George Michael bassist Deon Estus has died at the age of 65.
Deon‘s death has been met with great sadness across the music industry.
He was a highly regarded bassist for Wham!, and joined the band in the 1980’s before becoming a member of George Michael‘s band when he pursued his solo career.
He also performed with Elton John, Marvin Gaye and Tina Turner.
His cause of death has yet to be confirmed.
Deon‘s official Twitter announced the news on Tuesday.

Fellow Wham! member and co-founder, Andrew Ridgeley, also took to social media to pay his respects.
V. sad news today of Deon Estus’ death. A lavishly gifted bass guitarist, a charismatic & impish character & a rock of the WHAM! rhythm section. He lives large in the memory, he radiated warmth, humour & life’s illuminating light, my heartfelt commiserations go out to his family.
