Whoopi Goldberg Grills Michele Tafoya For Suggesting Skin Colour Shouldn’t Matter

Whoopi Goldberg got into a heated discussion with Michele Tafoya on The View on Tuesday, after she suggested “skin colour shouldn’t matter”.

NFL sideline reporter Michele Tafoya joined the cast of The View on Tuesday as a guest host and caused a stir after making a number of comments on race and skin colour.

During a discussion on critical race theory in schools, Tafoya questioned why kids are even learning that “skin colour matters.”

“Why are we even teaching that the colour of the skin matters? Because to me, what matters is your character and your values,” she said.

Co-host Goldberg fired back against Tafoya comment’s immediately, saying that skin colour matters to lots of people.

“Yes, but you know. You live in the United States, you know that colour of skin has been mattering to people for years,” she said.

Tafoya then argued with Goldberg asking “why can’t that be changed”, which Goldberg then stated the onus of change is not on people of colour.

“Well, we need white people to step up and do that!,” she said.
