Adam shared more than just his vocals during his explosive performance — his version of Janet Jackon’s infamous nip-slip.
Performing alongside Travis Scott and Big Boi, Maroon 5 gave us serious nostalgia with She Will Be Loved mixing it up with current chart-topping hits including Girls Like You and Sugar — but critics have already laid down the law, saying “this hasn’t been their best performance,”… “the Super Bowl is losing credibility with acts like this,” and “I thought they outlawed nipples on the halftime show?”.
Towards the end of their gig, Adam was visibly sweating, to which he stripped off, grabbed a red guitar and finished off the show with fireworks to celebrate the 53rd Super Bowl — at the time of the Half Time Show, New England Patriots were holding the lead with 3 points against Los Angeles Rams — if the Patriots win this, it will be Tom Brady’s 6th ring making him the first ever NFL player to need a second hand to wear his Super Bowl merchandise: he’s already the first ever player to have 5 rings.
Fun fact: Maroon 5 wasn’t NFL’s first choice, Rihanna turned down the offer due to controversy with the former league’s blackballing of former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
