Andy Murray Marks Pre-Wimbledon Return With Win

Andy Murray marked his return to singles competition at the Queens Club Championships in London.

Taking on France’s Benoit Paire the Scottish two time Wimbledon champion, Andy Murray won in straight sets. In the first set Murray won, 6-3 and then 6-2 in the second.

Speaking about his emotional return to singles competition, Murray said, “I love playing tennis and it was great to be out here competing again.” ESPN report.

Murray now sits at number 124 in the world in the rankings. Andy will be entering Wimbledon as an underdog following his retune from his, hip resurfacing surgery.

Before the Scot goes too Wimbledon he will continue in the Queens Club Championships, taking on Italian player Matteo Berrettini.
