Ariana Grande Stops Dating Rumours With One Tweet

Ariana Grande had it rough in 2018 — but she remains positive, at least on social media.

Rumours began circulating this week that Ariana was dating someone new… and it all began when Elite Daily published a headline on their Snapchat story; Who Is Ariana Dating NOW?! — you have to love the capital ‘now’. Typical clickbait article.

Usually, we have to contact our sources — cliché remark under these circumstances — when a rumour starts in order to obtain evidence before writing about the topic, however, Ariana herself cleared up any dating rumours with one tweet.

She responded to a fan that posted a screenshot of the article headline by saying, “can they tell me too?”.

Ariana continued into a second tweet, “spoiler for the rest of this year/probably my life: it’s no one. Please refer back to this tweet for future questions,”.

From that moment on, Elite Daily’s headline became debunked.

Ironically, back in February 2017, Elite Daily attempted to debunk a fake news story themselves after Associated Press accidentally tweeted “Ariana Grande is pregnant, guess who’s the father?”. Then in the same article, the writer inadvertently starts up the same rumour about her being pregnant by saying, “I don’t want to start any rumours, but this whole thing is fishy. Maybe Ariana IS pregnant and just keeping it under wraps.” — as you can tell, she wasn’t and isn’t pregnant.
