Bam Margera Explains Police Escort To Rehab

Bam Margera explains that a call from a concerned loved one prompted police to transport him to a rehab facility.

Margera was pictured with law enforcement last Sunday (September 26) at the Don CeSar Resort Hotel in St. Pete Beach. Officers were allegedly responding to a 911 call in relation to an emotionally distressed person.

The former Jackass star was not arrested during this encounter; however, police allegedly did transport him to a rehab facility in Florida.

Now, in an update from TMZ, Margera says police were responding to a call from a concerned loved one. The 42-year-old daredevil said that he had been filling the time at a casino while awaiting a visit from his wife and son.

According to Margera, he was pictured at the casino with a drink in his hand. He believes a concerned love one saw the picture and contacted law enforcement to intervene.

Margera says he was in Flordia after being transferred to an outpatient facility, following a 140-day stint in an Arizona facility to treat his manic bipolar disorder. This perhaps prompted additional concern from his loved ones, who believed he was drinking. He will now spend another two months in rehab.

TMZ alleges that the individual who contacted the police also claimed that Margera had threatened to jump off a bridge. Margera says this was simply a misunderstanding.
