‘Black Summer’ Returns To Netflix On June 17

Post-apocalyptic action series Black Summer returns to Netflix on June 17.

The show is a prequel to Z Nation – another series which ended after five seasons.

Season one followed a group of characters surviving through the first days and weeks of a zombie apocalypse. Their numbers decimated, and season 2 will follow their attempts to survive through the winter.

As part of Netflix’s Geekend, a new teaser clip was shared over Twitter.

The clip sees the character of Rose in a nail-biting encounter with a fellow survivor. Holding a gun to his head as zombies knock on the door, she tells the man to leave.

Jamie King, Justin Chu Cary, Christine Lee and Kelsey Flower are returning to star as the remaining group of survivors.

Black Summer season 2 comes to Netflix on June 17.
