Chris Evans Joins The Cast Of Festive Picture ‘Red One’

Chris Evans joins Dwayne Johnson to star in the upcoming festive feature, Red One.

According to Deadline, the globe-trotting adventure comedy will begin production later this year.

Jake Kasdan – who previous collaborated with Johnson on Jumanji – is set to helm the picture. He will also produce alongside Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia for Seven Bucks Productions.

Further plot details for Red One are currently under wraps, though the script, based on an idea by Hiram Garcia, is penned by Chris Morgan. Amazon Studios landed the film after an intense bidding war with other studios.

Best known for his iconic portrayal of Marvel’s Captain America, Evans has starred in an assortment of major titles. Some of his previous credits include roles in Fantastic Four, Snowpiercer, Knives Out and Free Guy.

He will next feature in the Russo Brothers upcoming thriller The Gray Man, and provide the voice of Buzz Lightyear in the Pixar/Disney picture, Lightyear.
