Daisy Ridley Starring In ‘Disney+’ Film About First Woman Swimming Across English Channel

Daisy Ridley is sticking with Disney when it comes to making films as she is cast to play a new film for Disney+.

The 28-year-old Star Wars actress has been cast to play in the upcoming film Young Woman and The Sea as Gertrude Trudy Ederle, who was the first woman to swim across the English Channel in 1926.

According to Deadline, the film will be based on the book of the same name that was written by Glenn Stout with the screenplay written by Jeff Nathanson.
