UPDATE 04:10am GMT: Demi just posted on her Instagram Story, “Wasn’t laughing at anyone getting deported. I know that’s not a joke.. not have I EVER laughed at that. The meme I posted/was talking about was of him being writing with a feather pen. Sorry if I offended anyone. But it’s no excuse to laugh at someone’s addition let alone their OD.

Demi Lovato has removed her Twitter account after she made fun of 21 Savage’s arrest earlier today.

Shortly after posting the meme, Demi was met with backlash which included commenters bringing up her previous drug use and current sobriety path.

Demi said, “F*** Twitter. This is why I don’t tweet anymore.” — leading to her deleting her account.

Initially she blocked a select few users that were slating her comments and jokes about 21 Savage, but has now decided to remove herself completely from the pool of negativity.

Demi Lovato is currently under fire after she stated that 21 Savage memes have been the “best part of the Super Bowl”. She later clears the misunderstanding; states that she was in fact, talking about the British memes rather than the tweets regarding 21 Savage and deportation.
