Emilia Clarke And Chiwetel Ejiofor Starring In New Sci-fi Comedy

Emilia Clarke and Chiwetel Ejiofor are to star in MK2 Films‘ new sci-fi comedy, The Pod Generation.
According to Variety, the new film will be set in a future where AI is all the rage. The story will follow Rachel (Clarke) and Alvy (Ejiofor), a New York couple who are ready to start a family. The couple is offered the chance to use a new technology developed by Pegasus – an artificial womb, or pod, which will allow them to share pregnancy.
Sophie Barthes will direct the picture, produced by Yann Zenou and Genevieve Lemal.
“Working with Emilia and Chiwetel as a couple on screen is a dream come true,” says Barthes. “Emilia’s versatility, her disarming sense of humour and capacity to navigate complex emotions are a perfect match to Chiwetel’s charisma and extraordinary screen presence.”
Clarke is best known for her defining role as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones. She has also starred as Sarah Connor in Terminator Genisys and Qi’ra in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Notably, Ejiofor starred as Solomon Northup in 12 Years A Slave. He has also featured in The Martian, Doctor Strange, and Infinite.
The Pod Generation will begin filming in March 2022.
