Emilia Clarke Responds To ‘Starbucks’ Coffee Cup Blunder

Emilia Clarke has acknowledged the coffee cup in Episode 4 of Season 8 of Game of Thrones.

Daenerys Targaryen was holding a metal cup in the latest episode of GoT, when eagle-eyed viewers spotted a rogue cup on the table in front of her.

Since then, it has been reported Starbucks received over $2 billion in unintentional advertising, and it turns out the cup wasn’t even Starbucks‘.

In a non-spoiler for the last two episodes of Game of Thrones, Emilia responded to the shocking discovery by posting a picture of her and co-stars Jason Moma (Khal Drogo) and Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), whilst holding the infamous coffee cup.

Emilia has dismissed any possibility of this photo being a spoiler for the show, stating, “this ain’t a spoiler just a lost wanderer coming home for a mid-filming cuppa…?”

HBO has since removed the coffee cup from the scene with digital editing.
