First Look At Timothée Chalamet In ‘Wonka’

Timothée Chalamet has shared a first look at his iteration of Willy Wonka.

In an image posted to his Twitter page, Chalamet looked every inch the youthful chocolatier. He was adorned in the telltale top hat and purple coat which made the Roald Dahl character so iconic.

Wonka follows a younger version of Willy Wonka on his journey to open the worlds greatest chocolate factory. The film is directed by Paul King, who co-wrote the film with Simon Farnaby. Producing the feature are David Heyman, Luke Kelly and Alexandra Derbyshire.

Joining Chalamet are fellow cast members Rowan Atkinson, Olivia Colman, Keegan-Michael Key, Tom Davis, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, Rakhee Thakrar, Matt Lucas, Mathew Baynton, Jim Carter and Rich Fulcher.

Wonka is scheduled for release on March 17, 2023.
