The former attorney for President Donald Trump, Michael Cohen, has been sentenced to 3 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to multiple crimes relating to his work for President Trump.

Michael said in court, “Today is one of the most meaningful days of my life. The irony is that today I get my freedom back,” — furthering his statement he said, “Blind loyalty to this man led me to choose a path of darkness over light,”.

He was sentenced in New York City after pleading guilty to 8 federal charges in August, which includes 5 counts of tax fraud and 2 campaign finance violations.

Part of the 2 campaign finance violations included a $130,000 hush money payment.
