Giants’ Alyssa Nakken Becomes First Female Coach On Field For An MLB Game

San Francisco Giants coach, Alyssa Nakken, made history on Tuesday night when she became the first female coach on the field of a regular-season game.
Nakken coached first based for the Giants in the third inning against San Diego.

The 31-year-old reportedly received a warm ovation from spectators and a handshake from first baseman Eric Hosmer.
She was appointed to the role in January 2020, which made her the first full-time female coach in Major League Baseball.
“To be ready to step in was a no-brain,” said Nakken. “This is my job.
“I’ve never felt any sort of lack of support from this organisation. The group is here really special,” she added.
