Kelly Clarkson Finalises Her Legal Name Change

Kelly Clarkson has finalised her name change to Kelly Brianne following her divorce from Brandon Blackstock.

On Monday, March 28, a California judge ruled that the 39-year-old singer could legally change her name to Kelly Brianne.

Kelly filed a request to change her name back in February, several weeks before she settled her divorce from ex-husband Blackstock. You can read more about this here.

In an interview with People last week, Kelly explained the reason why she had decided to change her name.

“I just got divorced, so I had to drop my married last name. I just kept my middle name for my personal life. I’m still Kelly Clarkson. I don’t think I can change Clarkson at this point. I’m 20 years in!”
