Kristen Stewart Plays Princess Diana In New Biopic ‘Spencer’

A first poster has been released for new biopic Spencer and sees Kristen Stewart transformed into the late Princess Diana.

The upcoming film, directed by Pablo Larraín, centres three days in the life of Princess Diana and Prince Charles and is set to premiere at Venice Film Festival.

Kristen Stewart stars in the film as Princess Diana. The new poster shows Stewart sobbing into a white dress, similar to a gown that The Princess of Wales wore on several occasions.

Prince Charles is played by Jack Farthing.

Spencer is said to unfold over a long weekend over the Christmas holidays in 1991.

The plot follows Diana’s decision – apparently made during this time – to end her marriage to Prince Charles.

Larraín‘s biopic is the latest cinematic release to attempt to cover the life of the late princess.

It will be released in theatres November 5.
