Marvel boss, Kevin Feige confirms that cameos from The Incredible Hulk and Doctor Strange will appear in the new Shang-Chi film.

Feige confirmed the appearances in an interview with Rotten Tomatoes.

“Yes, we just recently released the final trailer for Shang-Chi,” said Feige. “Some fans said, ‘This looks like a character they hadn’t seen in many years named The Abomination, fighting a character that looks like Wong. And I can say that the reason it looks like that is because that is Abomination fighting Wong.”

The Abomination is one of the leading villains of the Hulk franchise. Tim Roth, who played Abomination in The Incredible Hulk, is already set to cameo in the upcoming She-Hulk series. Whether Roth reprises the role in Shang-Chi is unknown.

Wong, from the Doctor Strange franchise, is played by Benedict Wong. Though the actor has yet to be credited, he seems to reprise the role in Shang-Chi.

In the new Disney/Marvel film, Shang-Chi must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization. The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi. Other cast members include Tony Leung, Awkwafina, Michelle Yeoh, Fala Chen, Florian Munteanu, and Ronny Chieng.

Shang-Chi will release on September 3, 2021.
