McDonald’s CEO Resigns After Relationship With Employee

McDonald’s has just “separated” from the company CEO Steve Easterbrook.
According to an announcement made on Sunday, Steve, who was in charge of the franchise since 2015, had “separated” from the company after a discovery was made that he had a consensual relationship between him and a subordinate.
The new CEO, Chris Kempczinski, was noted in a blog post that said, “Kempczinski succeeds Steve Easterbrook, who has separated from the Company following the Board’s determination that he violated company policy and demonstrated poor judgement involving a recent consensual relationship with an employee.”
According to a report, Steve wrote, “This (relationship) was a mistake. Given the values of the company, I agree with the board that it is time for me to move on. Beyond this, I hope you can respect my desire to maintain my privacy.”
Since this came to light, Easterbrook has padlocked his social media — completely shutting out new follow requests and privatising his online figure.
