Meghan Markle Didn’t Spend $1 Million On Baby Shower

As Meghan Markle enters the final stages of her pregnancy, rumours are circulating that she spent $1 million on her baby shower.
These rumours are incorrect.
In Touch published a story claiming that Meghan spent “$1 million” on her baby shower and that Queen Elizabeth “isn’t happy” about it. The tabloid says Meghan held the event in a $75,000-per-night suite with food provided by chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Allegedly, guests including Gayle King, Serena Williams and Amal Clooney attended Meghan’s “lavish six-day trip”.
Their “source” goes on to tell In Touch that she spent $250,000 on a private jet which took her from the UK to New York… and back again. This “exorbitant number did not go over well with her grandmother-in-law,” and they even claim that Queen Elizabeth “nearly had a heart attack when she heard about the cost of the trip.”
Apparently now though, Meghan is in “hot water” for her “expensive” baby shower.
We can categorically tell you, this is completely false information. Meghan did, in fact, have a baby shower, but it was paid for by Prince William, and the plane used to fly her to the U.S. was gifted by a friend from Toronto, Canada.
Sadly, we had to bust another headline by In Touch this week which you can read here.
