NASCAR driver Kyle Busch has apologised for using a slur in a post-race interview over the weekend. 

Busch used the r-word to describe fellow racer Brad Keselowski in a post-race interview on Sunday, after making contact with his vehicle during the NASCAR Cup playoff race in Martinsville, Virginia.

“It’s frickin’ r***rded man. So stupid. I don’t understand these guys. I should beat the s*** out of him right now, is what I should do. But that doesn’t do me any good either,” he said.

Busch took to Twitter to apologise for his use of the slur saying: “In one of my post-race interviews, I used a word I should never use, and I want to apologize for it.”

NASCAR have also since announced that they have ordered Busch to undergo sensitivity training before the start the of 2022 season.
